She was quick-witted and teased those she loved. Darlene will be remembered for her sense of humor, infectious laugh and her huge heart. The two of them went on many adventures together and lived life to the fullest. They lived in West Palm Springs, Florida for several years, moving to Denver, North Carolina after retirement. Darlene met, fell in love, and married the love of her life Charles Clifton. Her only child, Christine was born during this union. She moved to California and married John Gnocchi, they were later divorced. Shortly after birth, she moved with her family to Hollandale, then to Austin where she attended school. After marrying Woody, they traveled the country while he served in the Air Force eventually settling back in the Bay Area. Silvia believed in hard work, putting her family first and always looking at life with a positive outlook. While in college, she won the title of Miss Franciscan and Queen of the SF State College Fair. At San Francisco State, she was a member of AXA sorority and always kept in touch with her sorority sisters. She met and fell in love with her husband of 56 years L.B. After graduation she moved back to San Francisco to attend San Francisco State College. She was born in San Francisco, CA and at the age of 6 moved to Las Vegas, NV where she graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1950. Silvia Pereira passed away peacefully on December 6, 2021. Aileen is survived by Michael Kapp (Lise), Diane Lund (Jess), Ross Kapp (Sheri), and granddaughters Ally Haviland, Melissa Lund, Katrina Lund, Julia Lund, Emilie Kapp, and Rachael Kapp. Aileen never complained a day in her life and will be remembered by her gentle, kind heart. Aileen's claim to fame was being called "Nonnee," a nickname given by her six granddaughters. Aileen was an avid artist and enjoyed volunteering at the Pleasanton Senior Center where she taught watercolor classes in her later years. She lived in Pleasanton for the past 49 years. She attended Oakland Tech High School and worked at Kaiser Industries as a graphic artist.
